  • Originally from Ohio, Tyler is a fourth year PhD candidate in Spanish Literature in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, after having completed his MA in Spanish while living and working in Madrid, Spain for three years. His principle research areas include microrrelatos and cognitive literary studies. To that end, he performs extensive research in the cognitive sciences including theory of mind, impression formation, mental representations and conceptual metaphors. He thus assumes an embodied cognition approach to literature in analyses and research.
