Dr. Justyna Czader received her Ph.D. in French Literature from Purdue University in 2020. Her research focuses on the French Enlightenment and the French Revolution, with a particular emphasis on prison writings and the impact of the carceral environment on prisoners. She works at the intersection of several disciplines such as cognitive studies, and legal studies. computational textual analysis of authentic documents. Her recent publications include a Digital Humanities project titled “Prisons in Revolutionary Paris.” Her secondary research area includes public opinion and the development of eighteenth-century propaganda. She has taught courses on French language, literature, cinema, and culture at Purdue University, Indiana University, the University of Indianapolis, and the University of Evansville.
