Social Video Production Intern, Masterbrand Cabinets

1.) How did you learn about this internship opportunity?

I learned about this internship opportunity through the vast network of people that I have
built throughout my life. The opportunity came through two different people, one of my
professors at Purdue and one of my hometown friends. Both recommended I apply so I
did.

2.) How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?

My internship has helped me dial in on exactly what I want to do after I graduate. I was a
little uncertain going into it if I would like having a video production job, but I love it now.

3.) How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills to your internship?

Everything I have learned in CLA has been applied to my internship. Things from
communicating with clients, camera operation, video editing, and just interpersonal
communication have been a very important thing in my internship.

4.) What is a piece of advice you would give someone looking for an internship?

Have a killer reel/portfolio. Resumes go a long way, however if you don’t have work to
show it, it means nothing. Have a great portfolio built and apply for as many internships
as possible.
