Through the job board, Indeed.

2.) How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?

My time as a video editor at Kingsley Pine Summer Camp has been a life-changing experience. I have gained valuable video editing knowledge, improved my communication and teamwork skills, and developed a deep understanding of the transformative power of video content. I have accomplished this through hands-on work with industry-standard software, working with a diverse team, and observing the impact of visual storytelling on campers. As a result of this experience, my love for visual storytelling has grown stronger, and my desire to become a video editor and filmmaker has been solidified.

3.) How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills to your internship?

I have been able to apply my Liberal Arts education and experience to my video editor at Kingsley Pine summer camp. My knowledge of storytelling, narrative frameworks, and thematic themes allows me to create engaging videos that connect with viewers on an emotional and intellectual level. Additionally, the communication and critical thinking skills I have gained from my Liberal Arts degree have improved my ability to collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds and communicate ideas effectively.

4.) What is a piece of advice you would give someone looking for an internship?

My advice is to focus on gaining hands-on experience and building a strong professional network. While classroom learning is important, internships provide invaluable opportunities to apply your skills in real-world settings and establish connections within the industry. Look for internships that align with your specific interests and goals, and don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone to explore different aspects of film and video production. Seize every opportunity to learn, contribute, and network with industry professionals, as these experiences will not only enhance your skills but also pave the way for future career opportunities.
