Sarah brings a strong background in education and a deep commitment to student success to her role in the College of Liberal Arts. Before joining Purdue, she spent several years teaching at the elementary and middle school levels, an experience that shaped her passion for guiding students in their personal and professional growth.

Now in higher education, Sarah is excited to help build a robust and supportive career services team that empowers CLA students throughout their Purdue journey and beyond. She is dedicated to ensuring that career development becomes a central, integrated part of the academic experience.

Fun Facts

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys staying active through running and group fitness classes at the Lafayette Family YMCA, especially Les Mills BodyPump and Cycle. She also loves baking sourdough bread, gardening, and spending time with her family, friends, her partner Zeb, and their golden retriever, Ted.

Advice to Students

Your time at Purdue will go very fast. Get involved, be teachable, think critically, and be a lifelong learner!

Originally from California, Kristi spent the past three years in sunny Surprise, Arizona before relocating to Lafayette. With over 20 years of experience in education, Kristi has worked closely with students at every stage — from recruitment and enrollment to the classroom, through preparing them for life after college. Her passion for student success and career development fuels her dedication to helping students achieve their goals and what ultimately lead her to CLA Career Services.

Fun Facts

Outside of work, Kristi and her husband love spending weekends browsing Indiana’s charming antique shops. With five children who have flown the nest and three grandchildren, family remains as the heart of who she is.

Advice to students

As you embark on your career search, I encourage you to remain true to yourself. It is easy to get caught up in the pressure and expectations of others but remember you bring a unique set of skills, values, and interests that will set you apart in the long run! Be You + Be Kind!

Interior Design and Anthropology, concentration in cultural anthropology

Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Elizabeth is a senior at Purdue University. After joining the College of Liberal Arts a bit later in her college journey, she has truly found her community there. She stays actively involved around campus as the Senior Representative of the Purdue Chapter of ASID & IIDA, serves as a College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Ambassador, and is a member of the Purdue Anthropological Society. She also recently traveled to France, Belgium, and England with the Interior Design department, where she sketched iconic examples of interior design. Outside of school, Elizabeth loves traveling to new places, trying out new recipes, and anything crafty, especially crocheting!

Advice to Students

Stay curious and make connections! College is the perfect time to explore different paths, ask questions, and learn from others! If you hear about something that sparks your interest, reach out - you might be surprised at how willing people are to share their career stories.

Poorvi is a sophomore majoring in Sociology with a minor in Organizational Leadership. She grew up in the Bay Area, California and is super exciting to continue pursuing her college journey at Purdue. She is a College of Liberal Dean's Ambassador and wants to pursue a career in occupational therapy in the future. Outside of school, she loves travelling, trying new matcha spots, and spending time with her friends and family.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Sumsaar is a Junior at Purdue University. After transferring to Purdue in her sophomore year, she discovered her passion for designing and marketing creative content. Outside of campus, Sumsaar enjoys participating in competitive CrossFit. She is currently completing her flight training at Purdue Aviation LLC and runs her own photography business. In her free time, she loves spending time with animals and walking dogs at the local shelter.
