History graduate student Shelby Jones receives SHAFR dissertation fellowship
Purdue University Department of History graduate student Shelby Jones (left) has been awarded the 2025 W. Stull Holt Dissertation Fellowship by the Society of Historians for American Foreign Relations (SHAFR) to defray the costs of travel for dissertation research. Jones intends to use the funds to conduct archival research in Turkey for her project about Lew Wallace and American-Ottoman diplomacy.
A third-year PhD student, Jones is advised by Dr. Stacy Holden. Her research focuses on modern Middle East and North Africa.
