Morgan's post-graduation career started in the midst of the pandemic as she graduated in May of 2020 with a Bachelors of Art in political science and law & society. From there, she heavily relied on her network to jump start her career. Thanks to the College of Liberal Arts and their many fruitful opportunities of internships, Morgan was able to secure an internship with the Indiana State Senate. From there, she was offered her first full time position (post-graduation) during the summer.
She stayed at the Indiana State Senate for around a year and a half and then pivoted to Purdue University, serving as the Assistant Director of the Veterans Success Center. She served in this position for 3 months and then was promoted to Interim Director and served as Interim Director for 5 months. She became the Director and served in that capacity for just under 4 years.
Here, she combined her passion and background of support to military affiliated students to bring immense change to Purdue's campus for support to military affiliated students. Her work at Purdue has resulted in Purdue obtaining first tier status with the State Collegiate Purple Star Initiative, a Gubernatorial Appointment to the Commission for the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, a Bravo award, and more! She is known for strategy, precision in policy advocacy, and for always capturing the details!
Aside from this, Morgan has served in the military for over 11 years as a reservist and is working towards a farm generation transition with her spouse. Within the military, Morgan has earned multiple awards for her capacity to organize and implement mass missions effectively and efficiently. Within the last year, Morgan welcomed her son, Dean, to the world! Her best piece of career advice, is to never underestimate the power of network and to complete as many internships as you can in your undergraduate years.
