Catherine Bell

Catherine S. Bell is a graduate of the College of Liberal Arts with a BA in Public Relations and Strategic Communication (2015) and an MS in Communication (2022). During her time at Purdue, she worked as a gallery attendant with Purdue Galleries and was an active member of the campus chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) and various residence hall clubs.

Currently, Catherine supports NASA’s Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer as a Communications Specialist, where she manages internal human capital communications for NASA’s workforce. In this role, she specializes in crafting clear, audience‑focused narratives that drive engagement, facilitate compliance, and advance organizational goals through effective stakeholder collaboration.

Prior to her work with NASA, Catherine built internal and external communications programs from the ground up in the technology sector. Across her career, she has maintained a strong interest in mentoring and enjoys connecting with new graduates as they establish their careers in communications.

In her free time, Catherine enjoys traveling, crocheting, stained glass art, and volunteering. She is a lifetime member of the Purdue Alumni Club and a member of the President’s Council with her husband, David. They live in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with their three cats.
