Internal VS External Links

A “link” includes:

  • Links to other pages
  • File paths, like for images/videos

Internal links

Always use Cascade’s internal link picker for internal links!

  • Cascade will track the link so it will be updated if pages are moved or renamed

An internal link points to a page/file within the CLA Cascade system

  • E.g. cla.purdue.edu
  • Pick the link by browsing Cascade’s file system

External Links

An external link points to something outside our Cascade system

  • Any other address, including “purdue.edu” links we don’t control
  • Manually paste the link
