Cummings-Perrucci Lecture Series | Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies |  April 16 | 6:15pm | GRIS 134 | In this lecture Samira K. Mehta author of "God Bless the Pill: The Surprising History of Contraception and Sexuality in American Religion" explores the history and themes of race, religion, and heterosexuality as they appear in her newly released book.

Purdue Linguistics Symposium | Linguistics | April 24-25, 2026 |  Inviting scholars working within all theoretical and applied areas of linguistics to submit their research and join us. Topics include, but are not limited to: syntax, semantics, syntax-semantics interface, phonetics, phonology, morphology,pragmatics, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, sign language, and corpus linguistics.

School of Interdisciplinary Studies has options:

  • DEGREE PLUS – If your primary major is outside the College of Liberal Arts (such as Engineering or Health & Human Sciences), you can earn a second degree from SIS by adding just 24–33 credits, depending on the program. 2 Degrees - no extra time or tuition.
  • Double Major – If your primary major is in the College of Liberal Arts, you can add a second major from SIS. There’s a lot of flexibility, with many opportunities for courses to count toward both majors.
  • Minor – No matter what college your primary major is in, you can complement it with a minor from SIS with just 15 additional credits.
