A 2-1/2 week residency program hosted by Purdue's Department of Music in partnership with Steinway & Sons featuring our first Hammer Down! Piano Compeition led by our piano professors Ellen Bulow and Naday Dubikovsky, the Spirio Hackathon in collaboration with PMP, Purdue Student Concert, and a Closing Gala Concert with (((April33))) supported by Purdue's CREATE program.

Join us for an electrifying afternoon of cello duets. Dr. Benjamin Whitcomb from Wisconsin teams up with Kristen Yeon-Ji Yun for a vibrant concert featuring a dazzling variety of music—from elegant Baroque dances and lush Romantic melodies to fiery Mexican dances full of energy and rhythm. The performance will take place at Ringel Gallery in the Stewart Center, offering an intimate and inspiring space to experience the rich, powerful sound of two cellos.

Pianist Susan Ellinger (Oberlin Conservatory) joins cellist Kristen Yeon-Ji Yun in a program of cello and piano masterworks. The concert features the world premiere of Allen McCullough’s Trilogette for solo cello, performed by Kristen Yeon-Ji Yun, alongside Brahms’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Major (transcribed for cello) and Schubert’s Impromptu in B-flat Major, Op. 142, No. 3. Experience this unique collaboration between distinguished artists and the unveiling of an exciting new work in the beautiful Rueff East Gallery.
