Daniel R. Kelly

Professor of Philosophy

Daniel is a philosopher of mind, moral theory, and cognitive science.

He is a founding member of the Moral Psychology Research Group, author of Yuck! The Nature and Moral Significance of Disgust (MIT 2011), co-author of Somebody Should Do Something: How Anyone Can Help Create Social Change (MIT 2025), and President-Elect of the Society for Philosophy and Psychology.

Sarah is a philosopher of mind, cognitive science, and memory.

She is a is a founding member of The Philosophy of Memory Organization, President of the Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology, recipient of an NSF Mid-Career Award for the project "Building a Conceptual Ecology of the Engram" (2024-2027), and winner of the 2026 Lebowitz Prize.

Noam is a philosopher of mind and cognitive science, moral psychology, and ethics.

In addition to conducting research, he is working on Purdue's new Art of Attention living and learning community.

Samantha Ooley

CAIC Administrative Assistant

Samantha is a PhD student in Philosophy. Her research focuses on philosophy of education, philosophy of games, and cognitive science.

She is also Academic Program Manager for the Department of Philosophy, as well as lab manager for the Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence (VRAI) Lab.

Eric is a second-year PhD student in Philosophy. His main research interests are in moral psychology, the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, and epistemology—particularly as they intersect with social and political phenomena.
