Office and Contact

Nesim Aslantatar is a PhD student in Philosophy at Purdue University, where he also serves as a teaching assistant. His research lies primarily in the philosophy of religion and epistemology, with additional interests in philosophy of mind, and moral philosophy. His current projects focus on agnosticism, peer disagreement, and the philosophical challenges of managing uncertainty, including in contexts such as artificial intelligence. He has published in International Journal for Philosophy of Religion and Religious Studies beyond other venues. Before joining Purdue, he held academic appointments in Turkey and was a research scholar at Indiana University Bloomington. Outside of academia, Nesim enjoys traveling with his family, cook for his children and lovely wife, and take long nature walks that often inspire his philosophical reflections—so much so that he sometimes treats silence as a thesis project and inevitably fails the defense.
