Julie Dussliere is President and CEO of the Purdue for Life Foundation, which helps people who love Purdue stay connected, get involved, and give back. She oversees all aspects of alumni-facing organizations—including the Purdue Alumni Association, President’s Council, and the John Purdue Club—as well as development, alumni engagement, and more.

Prior to this appointment, Julie was an executive with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). She started working with the USOPC in 2003, rising to senior vice president, chief of Paralympic sport in 2018 and then senior vice president, chief of Paralympics and internally managed sports in 2022. In this role, she oversaw the high-performance planning and support processes and sport development projects for the 28 summer and winter Paralympic sports. She also directed day-to-day operations for the teams that served as the Olympic/Paralympic National Governing Bodies within the USOPC. Additionally, she led the USOPC’s Paralympic international relations efforts and was an integral leader for all Games planning, execution, and operations.

After serving as vice president in 2017, in 2018, Julie was appointed president of the Americas Paralympic Committee (AmPC), becoming the first woman and first U.S. representative to lead the organization. In 2021, she was elected to her third leadership role with the organization as the AmPC’s treasurer.

She previously was involved with coaching Paralympic swimming on an international level for more than a decade. In 2006, she was named the U.S. Olympic Committee Paralympic Coach of the Year and in 2015 was honored by the International Swimming Hall of Fame for her contributions to the sport. Prior to her work with the USOPC, she spent eight years as a swim coach and administrator for various USA Swimming clubs.

Julie is a 1994 graduate of Purdue University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian and earned Academic All-Big Ten Conference honors as a member of the swimming team. She also completed a master’s degree in Slavic and East European studies from Ohio State University.

In 2012, Julie received the Purdue University College of Liberal Arts Emerging Voice Award. And in 2020, she took part in Purdue’s Old Masters program, which connects distinguished alumni with current students. A passionate Boilermaker, Julie is a longtime member of the Purdue Alumni Association, President’s Council, and the John Purdue Club.
