Tasos Kaiafas

Tasos Kaiafas has over 20 years of experience in computer and video games. He is currently Director of Game Product Development at AT&T. In this role, he is responsible for the creation and management of new game products and services. He is also considered a subject matter expert for the game industry across AT&T and frequently advises on or manages various initiatives, including sponsorships, market offers, and targeted advertising.

Prior to joining AT&T, Tasos worked as a Strategic Planner at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, CA specializing in gaming and graphics. He was responsible for analyzing the game market and using this knowledge to educate Intel’s leadership and develop the company’s worldwide long-term strategy. The strategy was used to direct planning for future Intel products and new business initiatives, including Intel Capital investments. He also served as Intel’s game industry evangelist by working with top game industry influencers to support Intel products. 

After graduating from Purdue University, Tasos worked as a game magazine and Web site editor. He was the last Editor-in-Chief at Computer Game Review magazine in Lombard, IL before the company was acquired by Ziff-Davis in 1996. He then went to work as a staff editor at Gamespot.com in San Francisco, CA where he helped to grow the new site to #1 in traffic for its category. He left Gamespot.com in 1998 to help launch a new kind of lifestyle/gaming magazine called Incite PC Gaming. He served as the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief until it was shut down in 2000. The magazine was heralded for its ground-breaking approach to covering games by combing traditional game coverage with celebrity interviews, photography, and an overarching sense of humor.
