Web Development Guidelines

Purdue University and The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) have mandatory web guidelines for site design and layout. They play a crucial role in making digital content accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. These guidelines provide requirements ensuring websites can be navigated, understood, and interacted with by people who may rely on assistive technologies. These users might include individuals who are blind or visually impaired (using screen readers), deaf or hard of hearing (requiring captions for multimedia), or those with motor or cognitive disabilities (needing keyboard-friendly navigation or simplified interfaces).
