College of Liberal Arts Research Academy Fellowship Program

The College of Liberal Arts Research Academy Fellowship Program (04/2026 deadline) has the goal to support faculty members in developing and leading a large-scale grant proposal.

This unique fellowship provides scholars with the time, resources, and mentorship necessary to transform ambitious research ideas into competitive grant applications. Fellows will take the lead in conceptualizing and preparing a major external grant proposal, with the goal of submission by the end of the fellowship period. The one-year fellowship includes up to $25k that can be used flexibly, including the following support:

• One course buy-out during the academic year (with approval from the Department Head)
• Summer funding for focused research and proposal development
• Project-related expenses, including data collection, travel, or hiring graduate student research assistants.
