Michael Jacovides received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, both in philosophy. His current research area of specialization is in early modern philosophy, focused on John Locke’s philosophy of mind and epistemology and how they were shaped by the science of his time.

Jacovides forthcoming book, Locke’s Image of the World, will be published by Oxford University Press. His articles have appeared in Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, Oxford Studies in Early Modern Philosophy, The Southern Journal of Philosophy, and Philosophia, among others.
