Five Chinese Majors and Minors at Purdue University were inducted into the CLTA National Collegiate Chinese Honor Society in 2026, one of the highest honors in Chinese learning in the US. Two of our students participated in the Midwest University Chinese Speech Contest in May 2026. Edward Robison (pictured left) won the Gold Medal in the third-year non-heritage group. Ivy Chen (pictured right) won the Silver Medal in the third-year heritage group.
Edward Robison, a Chinese Major through the Degree+ program, was chosen to represent the Midwest universities in America to attend the 25th Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in China in August 2026, showcasing our program in front of Chinese learners from across the world.
