F. Robert Sabol
Professor of Art Education
Robert Sabol is the Associate Head of the Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, Director, College of Liberal Arts Academy for Creative Endeavors, College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Research Professor, and Professor of Visual and Performing Arts at Purdue University. He has been the president of the National Art Education Association and chair of the Board of Trustees for the National Art Education Foundation. His research interests include assessment, multiculturalism, arts education policy, curriculum development, educational leadership, and professional development of art educators. He has given over 360 presentations of his research at state, national, and international conferences. He has received numerous grants from federal and state agencies. He has published three books and over 100 book chapters and peer reviewed articles.
Heather Vickers
Continuing Lecturer of Art Education
Heather Galloway Vickers is an artist and an art educator. Her seascapes and landscapes are currently represented regionally and in the United Kingdom. Her teaching experience includes 11 years post-secondary at University of Indianapolis, DePauw University, as well as Purdue University. She also taught students in preschool through 12th grade for eight years at St. Gabriel School in Indianapolis, and Indianapolis Public Schools. Vickers received a BA in Studio Art and Art History from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, an MFA in Painting and Drawing from Northwestern University, a MAT from the University of Indianapolis, and a Ph.D. in Art Education from Purdue University.
