CAPT works with several research labs to connect and engage scholars from multiple disciplinary perspectives. CAPT helps coordinate these research efforts to facilitate timely and engaging research projects with impactful outcomes.
The Purdue Research in Media Effects (PRIME) Lab examines how people interact with and are impacted by the media content they consume. It serves as a research home for faculty and students interested in media psychology. The PRIME Lab was founded and is led by Dr. Brett Sherrick and Dr. Jennifer Hoewe.

The Global Security, Technology, and Violence (GSTV) Lab is an experimental research and teaching initiative that examines the interrelated histories of domestic and international security, technological change, and violence. Through collaborative research, faculty and students take a historically informed approach to contemporary challenges. The GSTV Lab was founded and is directed by Dr. Christopher Ewing, together with Dr. Austin Cooper as associate director.
