Andrew Maner
For over thirty years, Andrew Maner has held executive leadership positions in both the private and public sectors. Most recently, Andrew served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Avantus Federal until November of 2022. Avantus Federal was a mission-focused services and solutions company headquartered in McLean, Virginia, focused on Data, Mission, Space, and Cyber services and solutions for defense intelligence and national security.
Prior to that time, Andrew acted as the Managing Partner of U.S. Federal within IBM Global Business Services from 2010 to 2015, where he managed the $1.6B consulting and solutions and technology business. There, he was the Chief Executive Officer of National Interest Security Compnay (NISC), a private equity-backed, rapid acquisition mid-market information management, services, and technology consulting firm acquired by IBM in 2010.
During the George W. Bush Administration, Andrew served as the first Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Homeland Security from 2004 to 2006 and as Chief of Staff to Customs Commissioner Robert C. Bonner from 2002 to 2004, where he led the transition of three agencies into Customs and Border Protection following the events of 9/11.
He also served in the administration of President George H. W. Bush in the White House and as a Staff Assistant under Press Secretary Martin Fitzwater in the White House Press Office (1991-1993) and accompanied the President as his aide into private life following the election. After serving in the White House, he was the Special Assistant to the 1993 United Nations Envoy to Somalia in Mogadishu.
Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University (1997) and a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University (1991).
