Winning poems and stories will be considered for publication
in Purdue's on-line student literary magazine, The Bell Tower.
Critical Essay (students are encouraged to submit essays on our "Big Read" book, Station Eleven)
Personal Experience Narrative/Creative Nonfiction
AWARDS IN EACH GENRE:
First Place - $50 + 2 complimentary tickets to Purdue’s Literary Awards Banquet
Second Place - $25 + 2 complimentary tickets to Purdue’s Literary Awards Banquet
Honorable Mentions - 1 complimentary ticket to Purdue’s Literary Awards Banquet
Because we receive so many entries, only winners will be notified. Note that winning entries will be considered for publication in Purdue’s on-line student literary journal, The Bell Tower.
Those students receiving awards and their teachers will each be contacted by e-mail.
Awards will be presented at Purdue University on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Literary Awards Banquet featuring award winning author Emily St. John Mandel.

Your file should also include the following identifying information at the beginning of your document: 1) Contestant’s name and email; 2) high school name; and 3) teacher's name and email.
