Hannah Densel Outstanding Interior Design Portfolio Award

The Hannah Densel Outstanding Interior Design Portfolio Award recognizes the senior interior design major who has created the program’s best portfolio in the eyes of the faculty. The award honors the memory of Hannah Densel BA ’14 who tragically lost her life in an automobile accident the week of her senior show on March 25, 2014. Her degree was awarded posthumously by the university. Hannah came to Purdue and found her niche in the interior design program and blossomed as a passionate, outstanding student. Her love for the discipline pushed her to do more both in class and beyond. She took ownership of her success and ran with it, transforming herself into an exceptional student fueled by her work ethic and passion for learning. In the words of a fellow student, Hannah was simply beautiful and beautifully simple, a reflection of the grace and elegance that marked both her personal and design aesthetic. The Hannah Densel Outstanding Interior Design Portfolio Award celebrates her accomplishments and those of successive students with an abiding love for interior design. Her parents, Mike and Deb Densel, and her sister and brother-in-law, Tara and Arrand Johnston, and fiancé Jordan Hladish support the award in her memory.
