How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?

My internship has helped me build the skills needed in my career and better understand my goals by allowing me to expand my leadership and networking abilities. Additionally, I realized I enjoyed working in the professional side of politics and would consider working in Washington after graduating Purdue.

How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills in your internship?

I applied my liberal arts studies to my internship by utilizing the research methods and skills to help the Congressman and staff on legislative projects, writing a bill proposal and presenting it to the Congressman, and understanding the structure and functioning of Congress, all of which I learned at Purdue.
