How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?

These internships have truly brought out my love for sports and the communicative skills behind it all. Every game day, I am constantly holding conversations with people at our fan zones and during specific media timeouts. It has been a wonderful experience working with two incredibly dedicated crews that have helped me grow tremendously. They help me work harder and push myself to be the best I can be in this field of study. As for Purdue Athletics, they have taught me a great deal this past year on how to market our sports teams while also finding fun and effective ways to make sure our boilermakers enjoy every game day to its full potential.

How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills in your internship?

My studies at the Liberal Arts School have helped me to become more confident with strangers and bring out my communicative skills in every situation. Not only do I feel driven and ambitious when working, but I am also able to amplify it in my daily life.

How did you learn about this opportunity?

I reached out to an email on Mackey arenas website explaining what I wanted to do when I was older, and someone kindly forwarded my email to my current boss.
