Review of the Dean and the Dean's Staff

The dean will be reviewed by his supervisor, the provost, every five years according to University Policy VI.F.3, Review of Administrative Officers.

In addition to the five-year review, the Faculty Affairs Committee of the Liberal Arts Senate holds an annual meeting with the dean to exchange information about the state of the college, current and future activities in the college, and the actions of the dean and his/her staff.  Faculty are invited to submit comments to the Faculty Affairs Committee about the performance of the dean and his/her staff and suggestions of issues that should be the concern of the dean by February 15 of each year.  The Faculty Affairs Committee collects this information and shares it with the dean in a meeting in early March of the spring semester.  The chairperson of the Faculty Affairs Committee reports on the substance of this meeting at the college-wide spring faculty meeting.
