Travel Grant
The American Studies Program offers funding for all graduate students in American Studies who present their work at any national or international conference. The amount awarded depends on the total estimated cost for a student to attend the conference. In recent years, students at all stages of their graduate work were funded to attend conferences across the United States as well as in foreign countries. Please contact the Graduate Coordinator, Aimee Mansfield, for information and assistance.
Grants for graduate students are small amounts of funding that are designated for specific uses, such as travel grants, small research grants, and childcare grants.
Fellowships are awards to graduate students that typically provide either a yearly stipend for living expenses and/or some amount of tuition coverage. Unlike scholarships, fellowships give graduate students more funding as well as a longer commitment for that funding.
