UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, the Department of History recognizes the scholastic achievements of its undergraduate students with award selection in the spring. The awards are presented at the spring reception hosted by the department. Following is a list of the department's awards for undergraduates.

Graduate Funding:

- Stipend (Approx. $1,300 per month for half-time employment in teaching, for 10 months)

George Mayer Award for History - PhD Student in the Department of History - Monetary funding Submit statement (not to exceed 500 words) outlining evidence of the student’s leadership at any level, including in the classroom, in the History Department, in the College of Liberal Arts, or at the University level. Harold Woodman Graduate Research Fund - Graduate student in the Department of History

- Funding for travel to libraries and archives to conduct research for theses and dissertations

- Must major in the Early Modern History of Western Europe (1615-1815)

- Preference given to students studying France
