Contract Specialist
General Services Administration

Chloe Weber graduated from Purdue University in 2019 with a degree in Communication - Human Relations, along with minors in English and Philosophy, and is also a former SCLA 300 attendee. During her time at Purdue, Chloe demonstrated strong leadership as she led the speech branch of the Purdue Speech and Debate Team, relying on determination despite limited technical coaching knowledge. She contributed her expertise as a writing consultant for the Purdue Writing Lab and was an invaluable resource as an inquirer for the OWL (online writing lab).

Chloe's accomplishments extend beyond Purdue. She served as a general news writing intern for WBAA and received recognition for her 2018 piece titled "Sheriff’s Deputies Train for Worst Case Scenarios," winning the PRNDI / PMJA national student spot news award. After graduation, Chloe embarked on a fulfilling journey, spending two one-year terms in the AmeriCorps VISTA program, which is the domestic counterpart of the Peace Corps. During this time, she worked as a grant writer for the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana, and later assumed the role of AmeriCorps VISTA Leader for OneStar (formerly OneStar Foundation) in Austin, Texas.

Chloe's dedication to personal growth led her to take advantage of her alumni benefits and pursue the Purdue Computer Science (free!) certification course in Python while maintaining a full-time position with AmeriCorps. Subsequently, she transitioned to become a 1102 contract specialist for the General Service Administration’s Federal Acquisition Services - Professional Services and Human Capital branch, starting in August 2021.

In her current role, Chloe is deeply committed to ensuring protection, fairness, and opportunity for American small businesses, and she diligently oversees the responsible use of taxpayer dollars. Moreover, she is passionate about encouraging more young individuals to explore opportunities within the US Government workforce and is open to connecting with anyone interested in pursuing a career in this field.
