Stacey Connaughton appointed Vice-Chair of the Purdue@DC Council
President Chiang appointed Stacey Connaughton, Professor in the Brian Lamb School of Communication and Director of the Purdue Policy Research Institute in the Discovery Park District, as the Vice-Chair of the Purdue@DC Council. In this role, Dr. Connaughton will serve as a strategic partner to the Purdue@DC Council Chair, Steve Schultz, co-leading the long-term visioning and strategic planning for Purdue@DC in existing priority areas and identifying new opportunities for Purdue researchers, innovators, educators, and students. She will work collaboratively with Purdue@DC partners (i.e., Office of Research, academic colleges, Purdue University Online, Purdue Global, the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, the Purdue Applied Research Institute, Purdue Research Foundation, the C-SPAN Center for Scholarship and Engagement, Purdue Policy Research Institute), the Office of the President, the federal relations team, the Purdue Brand Studio, and with Purdue colleges, schools, departments, centers, and institutes to advance existing and develop new programs and initiatives based in Washington DC.
