About the Book (from the publisher): In Kant’s Metaphysics of the Will, Professor of Philosophy Jacqueline Mariña offers a comprehensive defense of Kant’s vision of the autonomous moral agent, arguing that his ethical and metaethical claims are deeply intertwined with the broader project of his critical philosophy. Jacqueline Mariña counters recent criticisms by showing that Kant successfully demonstrates why rational beings are necessarily bound by the moral law.
