Attention College of Liberal Arts alumni: If you are interested in learning more about the CLA Alumni Board, please visit the board's website or contact Andrea Hatch at amhatch@prf.org

Dear Alumni,

It is an honor to introduce myself as your new College of Liberal Arts Alumni Board president. As a two-time graduate of the Brian Lamb School of Communication, and a current Ph.D. research fellow studying computational social science, my Purdue roots run deep and continue growing. It is a privilege to serve you as a fellow Boilermaker, sharing with you the traditions and expectations of excellence that were instilled in me through a family lineage of Purdue graduates who also take great pride in their alma mater.

I’m proud to serve in this capacity and share with you the hard work and diligence our board puts forth to support important initiatives of the College of Liberal Arts. We focus our efforts on recruiting future Boilermakers, mentoring current students, supporting student career development pathways, and reaching out to wonderful alumni like you to help you stay in touch and remain connected to the exciting developments in the College of Liberal Arts and the university.

While COVID-19 has kept us from connecting in person over the last several months, rest assured, our board is energized and working hard to serve the College of Liberal Arts and you, our alumni! It is during these difficult times that we can live out our motto to Think Broadly and Lead Boldly, utilizing the wealth of skills and knowledge we all developed during our studies at Purdue. We hope you will join us as we look forward to being creative in the ways that we lift up and serve our communities, adapt to emerging challenges, and stay connected despite the uncertainties we all face.

We’re here to serve you, even if virtually for some time, and welcome your feedback and suggestions on how you would like to receive information and updates about our efforts to serve the liberal arts community both on campus or at a (safe and healthy) distance.

Hail Purdue!

Elizabeth Thompson CLA Alumni Board President
