Dr. William Dory earned his bachelor's from Miami University in Oxford, OH and his doctorate from the University of Georgia. He has traveled abroad extensively, including teaching for a year at Sun Yat-Sen University in Zhuhai, China. His research focuses on issues surrounding power transition theory, China's expansion, and international organizations/institutions. In addition to teaching at Sun Yat-Sen, he has also taught for the University of Georgia, DePauw University, and Butler University. He has presented research and served as discussant and panel chair for a number of years at the annual Midwest Political Science Association conference held in Chicago.
