Tina Huey

Tina Huey teaches multimodal composition and professional writing. She joined Purdue in 2026 after 15 years at the University of Connecticut, where she taught First Year Writing and the graduate seminar in college teaching under the auspices of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. As an educational developer, she has extensive experience building programs across departments and disciplines. Trained in Structured Reflective Dialogue facilitation, she designs activities to enhance student engagement, meta-cognition, and classroom community. She is currently co-PI on an externally funded research project about the role of inquiry in first-year writing seminars. Tina holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in Communication.
