Biography:
Gabby is a master’s student at the Brian Lamb School of Communication studying Interpersonal Communication. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas.
Research and Teaching:
Gabby’s research interests include investigating how major life changes (such as death, disease, deployment, etc.) alter communication methods and relationship dynamics among family members. She teaches COM 114 (Fundamentals of Speech Communication) and works in the Purdue Presentation Center to help students develop effective presentations.
Gabby is a recipient of the 2024 National Communication Association (NCA) Top Undergraduate Research award. She was also awarded the Mississippi Communication Association (MCA) 2024 Top Undergraduate Research award.
