Samantha at Purdue
Believing that biomedical engineering would be what she wanted to do, Samantha realized tha she enjoyed writing at a crative capacity. She did not have an interest in making crative writing her living, but she tried professional writing.
This career opportunity gave her the certainty of an end result that was more of an end result that was more technical and refined. She soon had a solid fix year plan; Purdue gave her the safety and the confidence to feel like she was not behind.
Within the program, eveyone gets to know each other-she built a comradery. Professor Dilger, always rooted of his students. Until this day, Samandthas is grateful that he still cheers her on.
Samantha After Graduation
For six years, Samantha lived in Kokomo, Indiana working a full time job as a frant writer for Ivy Tech Community College. Today, she lives in columbia, Maryland with a contract witha statewide office of Ivy Tech that gave her a grant manager position.
Currently she supervises every step of the grant writng process, from the initial research, to the subject matters, to the managing and reporting.
Her Advice to Incoming Students
"Be in the moment, and do what you're meant to be doing right now. Don't be overwhelmed-you can go so many directions within the English Department. You can start with one path and find your way without too many missed steps."
