Nate Bowling is a Lecturer in the Brian Lamb School of Communication. He received his M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University and his B.A. and B.S. in History and Communication Science, from Appalachian State University.
Nate teaches COM 415: Discussions of Technical Problems, COM 212: Approaches to the Study of Interpersonal Communication, COM 314: Advanced Presentational Speaking, COM 315: Speech Communication of Technical Information, COM 217: Science Writing and Presentation and COM 114: Fundamentals of Speech Communication.
Nate was nominated in the Spring of 2024 for the year’s Favorite Faculty award, presented on behalf of Purdue University Residences and the office of Residential Academic Initiatives.
Prior to joining Purdue University, Nate was a Lecturer at Pennsylvania State University. Teaching CAS 100B: Effective Speech – Communicating in Groups. He has also taught COM 102: Intro to Interpersonal Communication at Ivy Technical Community College.
Nate has also served as the Faculty/Staff Advisor to a number of Student Organizations including the Junk Journal Club and the Purdue Disc Golf Club.
