Biography:

Adeola Mobolaji earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. After graduation, he worked for over 5 years as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is currently undertaking his doctoral research at the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University, West Lafayette, with a special interest in Organizational Communications.

Research and Teaching:

Adeola’s research interests span organizational communication, leadership communication, religion, and identity. His current work focuses on the intersection of leadership communication and mentorship, particularly in shaping international students’ resilience, identity, and identity reconstruction. He is also exploring the role of spiritual leadership and the ways biblical teachings can be used as tools to foster resilience. Additionally, Adeola is also interested in combating health communication misinformation through a community-centered approach. He currently teaches COM 102 (Introduction to Communication Theory) and COM 114 (Fundamentals of Speech Communication).
