Katherine Johnson is a Visiting Assistant Professor for Cornerstone Indianapolis. She has a PhD in Communication & Culture from Indiana University, and her research specialties are in film and media studies, genre, and popular culture history. For over a decade, she's taught a variety of courses, including public speaking, media and cultural theory, digital media studies, and various film classes. Her work focuses on women, race, and westerns, and she has published in journals on film and popular culture. She is currently completing a book entitled Wonder Woman for the University of Texas Press. She is joining Cornerstone, Indianapolis, this fall, teaching SCLA 102.
