Katherine Johnson

Katherine Johnson is a Clinical Assistant Professor for Cornerstone Indianapolis. She started at Purdue and Cornerstone in the Fall of 2025 as a Visiting Assistant Professor teaching SCLA 102. She has a PhD in Communication & Culture from Indiana University, and her research specialties are in film and media studies, genre, and popular culture history. For over a decade, she's taught a variety of courses, including public speaking, media and cultural theory, digital media studies, and various film classes. Her work focuses on women, gender, and genre, and she has published in journals on film and video as well as popular culture. Her book entitled Wonder Woman is in production with the University of Texas Press.
