Karen Hustedt-Warren

Karan Hustedt‑Warren is a College of Liberal Arts alum with a background spanning departmental operations, interdisciplinary research administration, and university‑level research compliance. Karan began her career at Purdue in CLA working in departmental operations, building a strong understanding of how administrative processes shape faculty work and research support. She later worked within Discovery Park District’s Institutes and Centers, supporting interdisciplinary research communities and special initiatives. Most recently, Karan served as Associate Director of Research Security within the Office of Research, working with central offices to support complex research activities and translate federal and institutional requirements into practice. Karan’s work focuses on strengthening research infrastructure, improving coordination, and supporting faculty research and scholarly activity.
