Jake is a PhD student in the Rhetoric and Composition program at Purdue, and a graduate tutor at the Purdue On-Campus Writing Lab (OWL). He holds a BA and MA in English from Stony Brook University in New York, but before that studied violin for two years at the Boston Conservatory. He is particularly interested in the intersection of writing center work and queer studies, and the mentorship experiences of multilingual writers, English language learners, non-traditional students, and writers outside academia.
