Ally Wharton is pursuing a PhD at Purdue under the guidance of Dr. Kathryn Cramer Brownell. She received her BA in history with a minor in Appalachian studies from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Her primary historical interests are modern American politics and media studies, and she is particularly interested in the history of terrorism and trauma in the United States.
