Language Placement Testing


Testing Schedule

Chinese Placement Testing
  • Date: Monday August 19, 2013
  • Time: 2 Hour test begins at 7:00 pm
  • Location: Stanley Coulter Hall G030
  • Required:  Form 231, signed by your advisor
French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish Placement Testing
  • Languages Tested: French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and Spanish for Heritage Speakers
  • Dates: 2013:  April 10, 11, & 12
  • Time: 6:00 pm (Students taking the Japanese or Russian test MUST arrive promptly due to short test period)
  • Location: Stanley Coulter Hall 231
  • Required: 
    • Form 231, filled out and signed by your advisor
    • Valid Purdue ID (PUID Card)
    • Second form of identification with Photo ID (such as current passport or Driver's License)
    • If you do not have a valid PUID card please provide Purdue documentation of your name with your Purdue ID number
  • Please contact your academic advisor for additional information
Italian Placement Testing
  • Thursday, April 15, 2013 9:00 - 11:00 am in SC 231
  • Required:
    • Form 231, filled out and signed by your advisor
    • Valid Purdue ID (PUID Card)
    • Second form of identification with Photo ID (such as current passport or Driver's License)
    • If you do not have a valid PUID card please provide Purdue documentation of your name with your Purdue ID number
  • Please contact your academic advisor for additional information
 Summer STAR Testing
  • Languages Tested: French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, and Spanish for Heritage Speakers
  • Dates: 2013:  June 17 - July 11 (weekdays only and closed on July 4)
  • Time: 10:30AM - 4:00PM (Students taking the Japanese or Russian test are asked to arrive no later than 3:00pm)
  • Location: Stanley Coulter Hall 231
  • Required:
    • Current Photo ID ID (PUID Card, Valid Driver's License, or Passport)
    • Verification of your PUID number and/or a filled out Form 231:  This will most likely be found in the documents or materials received from Purdue.  The Form 231 can be obtained from your academic advisor.  If you have not yet seen your academic advisor at the time of the test, please make sure to provide some official Purdue documentation that contains your PUID number

Spanish for Heritage Speakers

 

General Placement Test Information

  • A Purdue Form 231 signed by your academic advisor is required to take any test
  • Additional information and assistance is available from your academic advisor
  • Valid identification is required to take any test
