Biography
Haley Sawyer is a second year Master’s student in the Lamb School. She has previously worked in Organizational Development and Change Management Consulting. In the past she has also supported research analyzing the Social Determinants of Health Program at Northwestern Medicine, and spearheaded a research project investigating young adults’ attitudes towards the COVID-19 and Flu Vaccines at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies.
Research and Teaching
Haley’s research interests primarily revolve around Organizational Socialization, Work-Life Communication, and Organizational Change and Development. Her research has been presented at D.C. Health Communication Conference and the National Communication Association Conference. She has previously taught COM 114 (Foundations of Presentational Speaking), and continues to work in the Purdue Presentation Center where she supports students in developing their presenting and public speaking skills. She also teaches COM 325 (Interviewing: Principles and Practice).
