Rochford's work focuses on social movements, social media, policy, and inequality.  Her recent projects examine reproductive justice, the Women's March, and Instagram. Major themes in her work include racialized body markets, political performance, and social movement framing. Rochford has also been instructor of record for Introduction to Sociology, Marriage and Family, and Deviance and Social Control.
