Biography
Lane completed his Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication from Purdue University. During that time, Lane worked on research projects within the area of supportive communication. Now, he is a second-year master’s student completing a degree in Interpersonal Communication Technology and instructor at Purdue’s Brian Lamb School of Communication.
Research and Teaching
Lane’s current research is in emotional support seeking in digitally mediated and artificial intelligence contexts. For example, he had the privilege of working on a project that explored how college students used memes to indirectly seek emotional support from a friend. Lane currently teaches COM 304: Quantitative Research Methods and works in the Purdue Presentation Center.
