Ana Gomez is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy. In her undergraduate studies, Ana majored in Law (Universidad Libre) and Philosophy (Universidad de Cartagena) and earned a license to practice law in Colombia (her home country). Ana's areas of interest are social and political philosophy, philosophy of law, Kant, German Philosophy, and applied ethics. Her dissertation focuses on the problem of the practical application of international legal human rights, and on the explanatory roles of national social contracts to account for this problem. She worked as the Research Assistant for the Human Rights Program. In her spare time Ana enjoys swimming and riding her bike with the local cycling club.
