Megan Lavelle Trainor has pursued a career in human resources since graduation from Purdue. Megan’s career has included 18 years as the Human Resource Director at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), an organization consistently on the Best Places to Work in Indiana list, as well as work with the employment law division of Faegre Drinker (formerly Faegre Baker Daniels). During Megan’s time on the CLA Board she has spoken to student groups about human resource careers, participated in roundtable sessions on careers, and served as a student mentor. She is passionate about helping liberal arts students and graduates embrace the value of a liberal arts degree and the many career pathways one can pursue with degrees that focus on the abilities to problem solve, communicate clearly, and embrace the importance of human relationships in the workplace.

Megan resides in Fishers, Indiana and loves spending time with her son, Dane, who is currently attending Indiana University.
