Danielle Kane Dr. Kane joined us in Fall 2019 as Assistant Professor. She previously was in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at DePauw University. Danielle Kane does work in gender and global sociology. Her current project, conducted with a collaborator, is a large-scale interview study of the role of gender and family in the transition to adulthood in China. She has also done work on religion and geopolitics in East Asia.

Dr. Mann

Dr. Mann completed his Ph.D. at Duke University and joined us in Fall 2019 as Assistant Professor.

Dr. Mann’s current research uses computational methods to examine political polarization as it relates to the formation of politically partisan knowledge. This research program has led to recent working papers on topics like political echo-chambers on social media, conservative understandings of science, and partisan asymmetries in susceptibility to political disinformation.
